Jarrell-L -- The Jarrell Genealogy List
About Jarrell-L	English (USA)
This list was set up at the behest of Wiley Jarrell, who has collected an impressive list of Jarrell correspondants over the years, and an even more impressive database of Jarrell info. Given the number of people that send him data, or request data, from him daily, it became easier for him to just cc everyone on his list with transactions. So I offered to set up a real list, which would allow people who really weren't interested to opt out, and others to join. Wiley (wajarrell@earthlink.net) runs the list. Ron Jarrell (jarrell@vt.edu) hosts the list on one of his servers. People with Virginia Jarrell ancestry might be interested in the Breeden list that Ron hosts as well. Contact him for info, or just subscribe to BREEDEN-L on the same server. This list is intended for the exchange of data on the Jarrell surname, and its known variants, (Jarrel, Jarrett. Jariel, Jarrells, Jerles, Gerrell, Fitz Jarrell, and a wide variety of others). Many of the variants manage to land under Soundex J640. As Wiley says, maybe someday we'll all be cousins. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
