I have lived through enough disasters in my life that I will be grateful, 
not let down, if nothing happens.  No yawns here.  If we roll over 
with no glitches, I'll just breathe a sigh of relief and drink the _whole_ 
glass of champagne, and not my usual single sip.

I would love to see the figures on how
> much money was spent by people preparing for the end of time.

Have to ask the merchants.  I certainly don't hear any of them 
complaining of a bad year.

My father told me about the woman just down the road from him 
who'd decided the perfect place to store a couple hundred gallons of 
gasoline was her basement.  Someone found out, fortunately, and 
made her move it . . . but there's a whole lot of stupid floating around 
in the world.
