There's one fundamentally incorrect premise in your argument; you're
expecting
teenagers to act like adults. "Grow up and get on with life" is
something most
people only learn with experience; don't expect teenagers to be able to
do so.

Dave, while I agree that whining groups do get on one's nerves, and that
adults should get on with their lives when confronted with adversity, I
have to agree with Harald that this is a very different situation.
Adults are empowered individuals. If you don't like something, you are
free to stay or walk away--your choice. Children don't have that
luxury; government and parents rule their existence. And, "Hell" is a
very appropriate word for the experience when you have no power to
change it.
If these kids weren't speaking out about it on the internet, I truly
doubt anyone would be hearing their cry. I'm glad they have this
outlet, and I hope it awakens others with the power to do something
about it to the problem.
The BS of the adult world can make a person very cynical and numb to
others' problems. I hope you don't turn a deaf ear to these kids
because of it. There's definitely something to their situation that
needs to be addressed by school administrators, the
government, and parents--and it isn't guns or video games.
