That's part of what they are.  The rest of what they are is the 
removal of some of your freedom and some of your rights, whereby 
you give up these rights and the government claims them as its 
own.  I question Harald's bias in this -- his country, after all, is 
already essentially socialist.  But I have to agree with him that what 
our country is doing in this instance is wrong.
