Why is it that whenever our country experiences a crisis. The people
cast the blame to anything they can come up with. The massacre in Colorado
was unfortunate, however the owership of firearms is not to blame, neither is
violence on TV (In which case the most violent show is the six o'clock news),
or video games, or fantasy books. Why can't people accept the fact that there
was no real cause behind this. A few kids were suffering from some severe
mental problems, in that state of mind they wanted to kill. They would have
done it with whatever item they could find. Guns, knives, pencil, barehands.
I don't even want to blame parents. I feel that the parents should of
recognized a problem in their children but the parents didn't cause their
actions either. Our rights to own firearms, or view violent shows, or freely
express our opinion should never be infringed upon. Most of the people of
this country have no problem owning firearms. That right should not be taking
away or hindered in anyway. We are suppose to protect the innocent and punish
the guilty, not punish the innocent along with the guilty. In my opinion the
goverment has already taking away and hindered to many rights and freedoms.
What next the 'Thought Police', enough of the big brother mentality.
