Hurm. Suggestion, Holly. We do (among other things) tape backups here at
the office (software development firm, backups are done religiously). Far
as I understand it, there is usually a "time set" thing in most backup
software so you can set it to start the backup whenever. We've got them set
to start in the middle of the night, when no one here would suffer from the
slowdown to the system.
Now, that doesn't take into account the need to do tape changes for you
(we've got a small robot-like thing that handles that), but it might be
*some* help.
