It's basically a little hard drive in a cartridge. I have the 1G version, and
am quite happy with it. The 2G costs about what the 1G does. Some
people I've heard have had problems where the loading mechanism will
give this sickening clunk, indicating it's died, and now the loader needs
to be repaired, but so far, three years, no problems...
Recordable DVD's have also dropped down to where CDR's were a year
or so ago, which might also be a handy option.

Sure will... "Monthly fee" keeps stopping me to, but "never do the backups
myself again" is a nice thought. I'm spoiled at work; all our machines are
backed up to a central DLT jukebox library automatically...
