Amazon.com just lost a customer. I had requested that they
research the availability of an out of print book. Their
policy is that they will not bill you unless they find the
book, and you accept the price.
Today I get a message that they tried to run my credit card
(thank God I'd not completed that line).
I've only ordered one book by internet. I'll never again
pay $8.00 for a $4.95 book. I know that Amazon has lost a
possible customer.
There is something relaxing about wandering the bookshelves,
and looking at the covers. God help us the day that books
disappear!
